About Beginner Level Yoga

Yoga Pose

This class is designed for the person who has never attended a yoga class, or has not attended in a while; as well as a person who is not ready for a fast pace with advanced poses.

This is not your typical breath to pose class.  We try to take about 2 to 5 deep breaths in each pose, to make sure we receive the most out of each pose.  During that time I make sure to cue the pose with what muscles need to be working to help achieve the full benefit of the pose.

We explore Sun Salutation A and B, Warriors 1 and 2, as well as Side Angle, Triangle, Wide Leg Forward Fold, and Pyramid poses.

We are continuing to work towards intermediate poses.

As an instructor who understands the importance of doing the pose using the correct muscles and movement, I will sometimes pause a class and work on one pose in particular a few times to make sure everyone in the class understands how the pose works and what muscles are involved.
